Lyle DeVore Sr.

Lyle E. DeVore, Sr., 89, of Warren, PA., died peacefully Wednesday afternoon, October 21, 2020 at the Kane Lutheran Home, Kane, PA. after an illness of the past year. 

Lyle was born April 2, 1931 in Warren, PA. He was the son of the late Albert Charles and Nettie Mildred Jones DeVore. Lyle was a lifelong Warren Area resident and also spent 5 to 8 years in the Scranton and Meadville, PA., areas. 

Lyle was a member of the U.S. Naval Reserves from 1947 to 1951. He was employed for Solar Electric, Interelectric and retired as Sales Manager with North American Phillips after 30 years employment. He was a member and active volunteer with the North Warren Volunteer Fire Department and First Church of the Nazarene. He was an avid coin collector, enjoyed spending time at the beach with his wife. He was a 32nd degree Masonic Member with Masonic Lodge 408, Meadville, PA.

Lyle is survived by his 4 Sons – Lyle E. DeVore, Jr. and wife, Mary Ann of Midlothian, TX., Chuck D DeVore and wife, Donna Marie of Gilbertsville, PA., Scott D. DeVore and wife, Raisa or Orlando, FL., Brad P. DeVore and wife, Katie of Jamestown, N.Y., 2 Sisters – Levina Rulander and husband, Fred of North Warren, PA., Lorraine Stanton of Erie, Pa., 14 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and good friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Phyllis Davis DeVore whom he married August 21, 1952 at the First English Church in Butler, PA., who died April 5, 2018, 2 Brothers –Donald Charles DeVore, Raymond DeVore, 1 Sister – Virginia Kellerman.

The family will receive friends at the First Church of the Nazarene, 907 Pennsylvania Avenue East, Warren, PA. on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 A.M. when a Memorial Service will be conducted by Rev.
