Andy CloseLois Jean Colvin, 71, of Warren, Pa., passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
Lois was born January 17, 1949, in Warren, the daughter of the late Robert and Joyce McChesney Colvin. Lois worked many places throughout Warren, then worked in Dietary Department at the Warren State Hospital for over 20 years from which she retired. Lois was devoted woman of faith, attending both The First Church of Nazarene and The First Church of God. She went on over a dozen missionary trips, including Guatemala, Honduras, and The Dominican Republic, and many others. Lois enjoyed helping the elderly and others in need. She belonged to the Warren Garden Club and enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Center. She enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren.
Lois is survived by her children, Michele Smith Leveto and her husband David of Seagertown, PA; Kelly Patz of Tiona; Her grandchildren Kayla J. Smith, Jessica A. Patz, Michael W, Patz, twin grandsons Zachary R and Justin S. Patz and one great-grandson Elias Patz; her siblings Chuck (Chris) Colvin, of Nichols S.C., David Colvin, of Navarre Fl, Becky Kibbey, of Clarendon, PA., and Patty Colvin Humes of Warren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 1996 by a son, Marty Patz.
Friends and family will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, on Wednesday, October 21, from 4 to 7 pm. There will also be one hour of visitation held on Thursday, October 22, at the First Church of the Nazarene, for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there at 11:00 am, with Rev. J. Maier and Rev. Bill Hargenrader, co-officiating.
