WARREN, Pa. – John Anderson Construction earned a 1-run boys’ juniors win over Betts, while Dreamboat Marine and Hobbies pulled away for a big girls’ majors win over Warren Overhead Door on Monday.
BOYS JUNIORS
John Anderson Construction picked up a 10-9 win over Betts.
For John Anderson Construction, Broc Bryan went 3 for 3. Ayden Stiteler, Isaac Neal, Heath Genis, Mike Williams, and Michael Knapp had singles.
For Betts, Cole Fitzgerald and Holden Demers went 2 for 2. Mike Rutzky hit a double and single. Philip Nickerson and Aaron Shene hit singles.
GIRLS MAJORS
Dreamboat Marine and Hobbies scored multiple runs in the first three innings on its way to a 17-10 win over Warren Overhead Door.
Khloe Morse picked up the win in the circle and had five strikeouts. She was also 2-3 from the plate. McKenna Lindemuth had three hits, including a double, and struck out a pair in the pitcher’s circle.
Arielle Birchard, Vivien Palmieri, and Ella Porier each had three hits in the win.
Kendall Simons had four hits for Warren Overhead Door. Cierra Melquist had two hits, including a double, while Scottlynn Perry had three hits a made a catch at second base.
A moment of silence was held pregame in honor of the Curtis Family as their daughter is also a team member.
