WARREN, Pa. – A&B Heating’s Eddie Abplanalp was a home run away from hitting for the cycle in a boys’ majors win, while Superior Tire’s boys and girls minors teams each picked up victories on Friday.

Superior Tire and Rubber came out on top in an 11-4 win over Rouse Estate. Curtis McGraw, pitching for STR struck out 8 batters in 3 1/3 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 walks and 0 hits.
Marcus Williams led the offense in hits, going 3-for-3 with a double in the first, also tallying 2 RBIs
Jared Tyler and Curtis McGraw both recorded singles.

Betts’ Aaron Shene hit a grand slam in the fourth. Cole Fitzgerald, Nathan Klenowski, and Holden Demers each had 2 singles.
For Hillview, Bill Bennett had a double, Josh Pikna had a triple, and Carsyn Branstrom singled and doubled.
A&B HEATING 5, LONG-NYQUIST & ASSOCIATES 1
Eddie Abplanalp went 3 for 3 with a single, double, and triple for A&B Heating. His brother Jack Abplanalp had a nice hit to help the team and Hunter Ingerson also singled.
For Long Nyquist Associates Keegan Weissinger went 2 for 3 at the plate with 2 singles and Tucker Sanford had a great base hit.
