Lady Dragons outlast Lady Knights

WARREN, Pa. – When COVID-19 forced District 10 to re-draw its fall regions for 2020, one of the benefits was that Warren and Eisenhower would be playing each other in soccer.

The result on Saturday was a treat to watch, as Kyleigh Wilson scored in the first minute of the game and Kyra Wotorson late in the first half to lift Warren to an exciting 2-0 victory.

Wilson got the game off to quick start in the first minute in a game that also served as senior recognition.

The Dragon offense was impressive, but so was the EHS defense, led by senior keeper Lilee Renninger.

Renninger turned away shot after shot from the Lady Dragons throughout the contest.

After Wotorson made it 2-0 late in the first half, Leah Peterson had a chance to cut the lead in half with just seconds remaining in the opening 40 minutes, but Alyssa Anderson came into to make a sliding save.

The Dragons improve to 2-1, while Eisenhower is now 1-2.
