Sheffield’s boys swept the relays and the hurdles with Alex Marfink winning the 110 and Isaac Hammerbeck the 300.

Eisenhower’s Casey Seymour swept the jumps, while Ryan Chambers won the 100 and 200, Joe Mistretta won the 400 and 800, and Joe Gigliotti won the 1600 and 3200.

On the girls’ side, Eisenhower returned the favor by sweeping all three relays. The Knights’ Marissa Gourley edged Sheffield’s Sarah Hoffman in the 100 hurdles by 0.01 (17.21-17.22), while Hoffman won by 0.4 in the 300 hurdles (52.03-52.43).

Sheffield’s Emily Foster was a dual winner in the shot put and high jump, where she set a personal record by clearing 5’3″.

“Senior Emily Foster’s personal best in High Jump has long remained at 5’2”, the height she cleared as a freshman to win the District 9 title and send her on her first trip to states,” Sheffield coach Jason Snell said. “It’s been a long time coming, but tonight she beat her personal best as a senior and cleared 5’3” to win the ladies’ high jump.”

After 3 meets in 4 days, the Wolverines receive a couple of days to rest and recover before heading to Coudersports CARP Park complex on Friday for the Northern Tier League Championships with one last chance for all to qualify for the District 9 Championships the following Friday at Brookville High School.

“All of my seniors performed well tonight and I was happy they had a great night with great weather to end their careers on Wolverine Mountain,” Snell said.

Eisenhower will next compete at the District 10 Championships on Saturday, May 18, at Slippery Rock University.
