Kiwanis Club Along with Ike and WAHS Key Clubs Help Beautify Werner Park

RUSSELL, Pa. – More than 25 participants from Warren Kiwanis, Eisenhower and Warren Key Clubs, and Warren Elementary Center Builders Club worked at Werner Park in Russell on Saturday morning cleaning and beautifying the park.

Participants cleaned bleachers and did maintenance work on trails and the playground, as well as sprucing flower beds throughout the park.

“A big thank you to the Kiwanis Club and Key Clubs from Warren and Eisenhower for the work bee at Werner Park this morning,” park officials said in a Facebook post on Saturday. “We wood chipped two trails, cleaned the bleachers on Fireman’s Field, scraped the wooden playground and weeded and mulched 8 flower beds. 89 man hours to spruce up the park this morning. We also want to thank the park committee. You are great to work with.”
