Jeffrey A. Confer

Jeffrey A. Confer, 63, of Cole Hill Road in Pittsfield, passed away July 29, 2021 at UPMC Hamot in Erie following a lengthy illness.

Jeff was born on July 31, 1957 in Warren, to Richard L. and Barbara R. Confer. Jeff proudly served his country in the US Navy as an aviation electronics technician stationed in Alaska, Japan, and California, and was a lifetime member of Amvets Post 50. He retired from the National Forge after 22 years as a CNC lathe operator. He loved rock-n-roll music, 4-wheeling with friends, wood walks with his dogs, and hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Confer, two sisters Debbie (Denny) Groves of Stoneham and Lori Brown of Austin TX, his nephews Ryan, Tyler, and James, his niece Alyssa, as well as many great-nephews and great-nieces, his father, Richard Confer and his father-in-law, David Martin of Edinburg TX. He was predeceased by his mother Barbara Confer, his mother-in-law Mary Martin, and brother-in-law Douglas Martin.

A gathering to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held at the convenience of the family.
