JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – Jamestown Community College will host a summer wrestling clinic for students in grades 7-12 on Saturday, Aug. 5.
The clinic will be held at the Physical Education Complex in Jamestown. Pre-registration is open through Friday, July 15. The cost is $70 per wrestler or $350 with six wrestlers from the same team.
Walk-ups are welcome. The cost is $80 per wrestler or $400 with six wrestlers from the same team. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. The clinic begins at 9 a.m. and will run until 6 p.m. Wrestlers should bring clothing for three sessions, plus swimwear.
Session I will be instructed by Jamestown CC head coach Brian Dowdall, who will go through hand fighting and underhooks to go along with seated escapes and reversals.
Session II will be instructed by Williamsville North assistant coach Jeff Catrabone, an NCAA Division I three-time All-American at Michigan, who will go through high half-nelsons and leg levers.
Session III will be instructed by Matt Lackey, Lock Haven University women’s wrestling head coach and men’s associate head coach, who was an NCAA Division I national champion at Illinois.
