Grammy-Nominated Vocalist Set to Return to Warren Saturday

March 10, 2023

WARREN, Pa. – Grammy-nominated vocalist and musician Nicole Zuraitis will perform in Warren for the fourth time on Saturday, March 11, 2023.

The performance, presented by the Warren Concert Association, will be held at the Struthers Library Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Zuraitis will be in Warren for the first time since a fundraiser in 2020. Her first appearance was with the folk band, EVA, and she returned with the Dan Pugach 10-piece ensemble prior to the fundraiser. This appearance will be with Zuraitis’ quintet.

“The evening will feature the talents of Nicole on voice/piano, Alexis Lombre on organ, Idan Morim on guitar, Sam Weber on bass, and featured artist and drummer, Dan Pugach,” a press release for the event said. “Repertoire will include the great American songbook, rousing blues, surprising arrangements, and selections from Nicole’s new album with Christian McBride.”

Zuraitis is the vocalist for both the Birdland Big Band and the Dan Pugach Nonet and has headlined multiple New York City jazz clubs such as Dizzy’s Club at Lincoln Center, Birdland, the Blue Note, and the Carlyle.

Zuraitis and Pugach were nominated for a Grammy award for their arrangement and performance of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.”
