George Head, 88, of Russell, PA., died Wednesday morning, October 14, 2020 at Warren Manor Nursing Home, Warren, PA., after an extended illness.
He was born February 4, 1932 in Tiona, PA. George was the son of Kenneth and Matie Arp Head. He was a Russell area resident most of his life. He had served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a Technical Corporal and earned a Korean Service Medal with 5 Bronze Stars and a UN Service Medal. He was a truck driver by trade.
He is survived by his wife Virginia M Morrison of Russell, PA., 3 Children – George W. Head, Jr. of Carson City, NV, Jeffrey A. Head of Warren, PA., Allen L Head of South Carolina, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers – Raymond & Edward Head, 3 Sisters – Lena, Dorothy and Ruby
A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Wesleyan Cemetery, Sugar Grove, PA.
