YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Four bowlers rolled 700 or better series during league action at Valley Bowling Center, with one hitting the 700 plateau twice and another nearly reaching the 800 mark.
Matt White had a pair of 700 series, one in the Catering Plus/Wilcox Bros. League and another in the P2 Racing League. White’s 741 wasn’t the top score in the Catering Plus/Wilcox Bros. League as Cody Vincent finished with a 776.
Vincent opened with a 243, followed with a 275 and closed with a 258 for his series. White put a 263 and a 265 around a 213 for his 741. Casey Vincent just missed on a 700 of his own as he finished with a 693.
White led the way in the P2 Racing League with a 706. He was about as even as possible with a 236, 237 and 233. Alex Johnson was right behind with a 703. Johnson opened with a 256, followed with a 242 and closed with a 205 for his series. Blaine Gunn also narrowly missed a 700 as he finished with a 694.
Bowling in the Rusted Nutz Garage League, Mark Stewart finished with a 718 series on the strength of a 266 high game.
