Five Dragons, Ike’s Smyth Named to PVCA D10 All-Star Teams

WARREN, Pa. – Five Warren players and Eisenhower’s Caroline Smyth were named to the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association District 10 All-Star team on Monday.

Smyth was a first-team selection on the Class A team. Warren’s Kylie Fehlman and Summer Lucks were on the Class 3A first team, while Lindsay Madigan, Maddy Jones, and Alexia Bowers were on the second team.

All five Dragons were key contributors to a team that won the program’s second D10 title. The Dragons will host North Catholic, the No. 2 team from the WPIAL (District 7) and No. 3 team in the state in the PVCA rankings, on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the first round of the PIAA tournament.

Fehlman has 251 kills, 68 blocks, 40 digs, six aces, and 16 set assists this season. Bowers has 257 kills, 16 blocks, 16 aces, 180 digs, and 13 set assists. Jones has 251 kills, 16 blocks, 53 aces, 160 digs, and 18 set assists.

Lucks has 55 aces, 556 digs, and 81 set assists. Madigan has 70 kills, 27 blocks, 55 aces, 188 digs, and 892 set assists.

Smyth was an integral part of a Knights team that went back to the postseason this year. Eisenhower fell to No. 2 seed West Middlesex in the Class 1A quarterfinals.

Smyth had 82 kills, 26 blocks, 26 aces, and 33 set assists this season.
