October 10, 2023

WARREN, Pa. – Warren rallied from a 2-0 deficit to earn a 3-2 (21-25, 23-25, 25-13, 25-23, 15-11) win over Conneaut in a rematch of last season’s D10 3A title match.

Rewatch the match:

CASH jumped out to big leads in the first two sets, staving off Warren rallies in both, but the Dragons battled back in a big way.

Madelyn Nosel, who tied for the team-high with 14 kills, got things going for the Dragons in the third, as they opened up an early nine-point advantage and never looked back.

After a back-and-forth fourth set, the Dragons were able to force a fifth where they ended the match on a 5-1 run after it was tied at 10.

Summer Lucks led a big defensive effort for the Dragons with 32 digs and also added five set assists to earn Allegheny Grille of Foxburg Player of the Match honors.

“Our blocks were up, we were in our bases ready to move and we had that mentality don’t let anything touch the ground and we did exactly that,” Luck said during the Cole Orthodontic Associates postgame interview.”
