MEADVILLE, Pa. – It was a strong start to the golf season for Braddock Damore and the Warren boys’ golf team.
Damore shot a 72 to earn second overall and the Dragons (327) were second only to Meadville (323) in the team standings in the first Region 6 mega match of the year at the Country Club of Meadville.
Cathedral Prep’s Connor Laird shot a 70 for low round.
Also for Warren, Brady Berdine shot an 81, Johnny Palmieri an 86, Conner Zaffino an 88 and Reid Olsen a 90.
Three other golfers shot in the 70s, with Meadville’s Robert Mahoney and Prep’s Cooper Wierzchowski shooting a 76 and Alex Burgess of Meadville a 77.
Prep was third in the team standings with a 333, Hickory fourth at 335, McDowell fifth at 339, Erie High sixth at 371 and Corry seventh at 424.
Ethan Bock and Jack Mucha each shot an 83 for McDowell.
