Carole J. Schoenborn

Carole J. Schoenborn, 89, of Warren, passed away on Sunday to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, December 12, 2021, at the Warren General Hospital, following a brief illness.

Carole was born July 6, 1932, in North Boston, NY, the daughter of the late Charles Jacob and Adella Gang Klein. She lived in the Western NY area and graduated High School in Hamburg, NY.

In 1951, She was a member of the St. James United Church of Christ in Hamburg, NY, married her late husband, Robert W. Schoenborn in 1951, and lived many places, as he was in the U.S. Air Force. Most recently, she lived in Crossville, TN, where she was a member of the Fairfield Glade Methodist Church, then moving to Warren in 2015 following her husband’s passing.

While in Warren, she joined and attended the Grace United Methodist Church, the Warren Senior Center, and most notably was a member of the Frank Street mahjong Club, a group of very close friends who enjoyed much time together in Warren throughout the last several years.

Carole worked various jobs throughout her life as a secretary and bookkeeper. She will be forever remembered as a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and neighbor. She spent her life living out the Lord’s commandment to: “Love the Lord Your God and Love Your Neighbor as Yourself” [Mark 12:30,31]

Carole is survived by three children, Dr. Gerald Schoenborn and wife Dru (Hanna) of Warren, PA, Diane Schoenborn Hewes and her husband Bill of Powhatan, VA, and Dr. William Schoenborn (Pam) of Jacksonvile FL; Nine grandchildren, Blair, Christof, Bryce, Scott, and Mark Schoenborn; Brian and Megan Hewes; and Jonathan and Michael Schoenborn;

Seven great-grandchildren, Vivian Reimink, McKenna Schoenborn, E.B. and Orin Butler, and Kalei, Cole and Hannah Hewes; a beloved niece & nephew Barbara Coleman, and David Brooks.

In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death in 2014 by her husband, Robert W. Schoenborn; and four siblings, Grace, Mildred, Elizabeth, and Frederick.

Services for Carole will be private and at the convenience of the family.
