WARREN, Pa. – As the calendar approaches July, numbers for the Warren C.A.R. Pool are the best they’ve been since before COVID hit in 2020.
During Tuesday’s City of Warren Parks and Recreation meeting, it was reported that over 500 season passes had been sold for the pool, up more than 200 from 2022’s total.
“To see a spike like that is great,” said Warren City Manager Mike Holtz. “I think you’re starting to see pre-COVID numbers.”
The pool is open daily from 12-6 p.m. and is also available for private parties from 6-8 p.m.
SUMMER PLAYGROUND PROGRAM
Lacy, Crescent, and Beaty Parks make up the 2023 City of Warren summer playground program, and all three have had positive reviews.
“Beaty and Lacy have the most in terms of number of kids, but we’ve seen good attendance at all three,” Holtz said.
The summer playground program runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and goes through Aug. 11 for kids ages 7 to 13.
PICKLEBALL COURTS
The pickleball courts at Betts Park are slated to be completed toward the end of July, with a grand opening to be scheduled around that time.
