Bruce C. Swanson

Bruce C. Swanson, 76, of Priest Hollow Road, Russell, passed away Monday (Jan. 10, 2022) at UPMC Chautauqua.

He was born June 14, 1945, in Warren, the son of Harold and Gladys Nelson Swanson.

Prior to retirement, he was co. owner of Miller Pump and Supply in Erie.

Bruce was a member of the Frewsburg American Legion.

He enjoyed visiting with his friends for coffee on a regular basis, taking trips to Canada with his friends: Howard Freeman and Mark Musante, and traveling to warm climates with Jim Haskins and Gene Lauffenburger. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the Rhododendrons and Dahlia’s on his property.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Torie Swanson; a brother, Layton (Shirley) Swanson of Russell; his close niece and nephew: Tiffany (John) Mandeville and Matthew (Tanya) Swanson; as well as several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Craig “Swanny” Swanson.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the funeral home.

Masks are appreciated.
