WARREN, Pa. – The Blue Star Mothers of Kinzua 203 recently received a pair of large donations thanks to individuals and other organizations around Warren County.
Sharon Sveda and Katie Penley, along with the Youngsville American Legion Post 658, held a golf scramble to raise money for the Blue Star Mothers.
When it was finished, Sveda and Penley presented the group with a check for $5,000.
“These ladies are amazing,” Blue Star Mothers said. “We are so grateful for (their) hard work and commitment to our nation’s military.”
Jeremy and Jackie Snell held their 3rd Annual 4th of July Breakfast earlier this month and raised more than $4,000 for Blue Star Mothers.
“Jackie and I are so blessed to have the friends and family that we do,” Jeremy said in a Facebook post. “We are overwhelmed by the support received. Thank you to all that helped out and donated.”
