WARREN, Pa. – Greysen Meyer’s grand slam capped a 7-run sixth inning to lift St. Marys to an 8-3 win over Warren in boys’ majors all-star action on Saturday.
It was the second home run of the game for Meyer, who tied the game in the fifth with a solo blast.
Meyer’s slam in the sixth was St. Marys’ fifth hit of the inning.
Eddie Abplanalp and Dru Abbey singled in the third to help give Warren a 1-0 lead.
Ty Bryan had an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth, but St. Marys was able to close it out.
TJ Gornati got the win in relief for St. Marys, while Wesley Wilcox took the loss.
Tanner Stuart tossed two scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts for Warren, while Bryan struck out three in his 2 ⅓ innings of work.
Warren will play again on Wednesday against the loser of the Ridgway/Potter-McKean game.
