Bickling Sets Record as Warren Girls Blank Titusville; Boys Fall at Harbor Creek

TITUSVILLE, Pa. – Georgie Bickling set a school record and the Lady Dragons’ offense exploded in a 9-0 win at Titusville on Saturday.

Bickling’s three assists in the match pushed her career total to a school-record 86. Bickling broke the previous record of 84 assists, held by her older sister Mackenzie. She also had three goals in the game.

Meea Irwin had four goals, while Leyna Irwin had a goal and three assists. Ella Getner had a goal, and Lauren Andersen and Ella Ordiway each tallied an assist in the win.

Warren hosts Cathedral Prep on Monday.

BOYS

HARBOR CREEK 3, WARREN 0
HARBORCREEK, Pa. – Harbor Creek scored on a pair of set plays, and added the final tally late in a 3-0 win over Warren on Saturday.

The Huskies scored on a penalty kick following a corner attempt in the first half, then scored off a corner for their second goal in the second half. Harbor Creek scored in the waning seconds of the match for the third and final goal.

The Dragons travel to Seneca on Monday for a region match.

Warren won the junior varsity match 1-0.

Jack Chapman scored the Dragons’ goal and Brody Alexander tallied the assist. Jack Lynds got the shutout in net, with a little help from Adon Maier who cleared a near goal.

“I thought the squad worked hard and it was a quality win against a nice opponent,” Warren assistant coach Chris Darling said.
