Youngsville Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident Saturday

BROKENSTRAW TWP, Pa. – A Youngsville man was killed when his motorcycle struck a road paving vehicle on Matthews Run Road Saturday night.

According to Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police, Zachary McLaughlin, 29, of Youngsville, was riding a 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle heading west on Matthews Run Road east of Murray Hill. Just before 11 p.m., McLaughlin’s motorcycle struck a road closed sign, then collided with a Caterpillar road paving vehicle.

McLaughlin, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from his vehicle. The Warren County Coroner’s Office pronounced McLaughlin dead at the scene.

State police and the Coroner’s Office were assisted on scene by the Youngsville Volunteer Fire Department, the Youngsville Police Department and Dyke’s Towing.
