WARREN, Pa. – Big change is coming to the Warren County School District Board of Directors based on unofficial primary election results released Tuesday.

According to the unofficial results, the Save Our Schools slate of candidates successfully ousted incumbents running for the Region II and Region III seats. There are three open seats in Region II and two open seats in Region III.

All Region II and Region III candidates ran on both the Democrat and Republican tickets, except Wendy MacQueen who only ran as a Republican in Region III.

Tammi Holden and Stephanie Snell both secured 874 votes on the GOP ticket for the pair of 4-year Region II seats, followed by incumbents Joe Colosimo (549) and Donna Zariczny (345). Holden and Snell sat atop the Democrat ticket with 391 and 363 votes, respectively, while Colosimo had 246 and Zariczny 210.

Savanna Cochran led the Republican ticket for the Region II 2-year seat with 729, followed by Colosimo (476) and Zariczny (210). Cochran easily secured the Democratic nomination as well, garnering 343 votes while Colosimo had 173 and Zariczny had 126. That seat had been filled by Jeff Daugherty, who was appointed to fill the vacancy when Chloe Shaffer declined her election win in 2021.

Daniel Sullivan (809) and Wendy MacQueen (773) secured the GOP ticket in Region III ahead of Kristopher Hodak (755) and incumbent Kevin Lindvay (516). Hodak (289) and Sullivan (278) were the top vote-getters on the Dem ticket, followed by Lindvay (212).

John Wortman, the lone candidate on the ballot, secured the sole open seat in Region I.

WARREN COUNTY SHERIFF

Scott Neiswonger was the runaway winner in the race for Warren County Sheriff.

Neiswonger and Ken Hinton ran as Republicans to replace the retiring Brian Zeybel. According to the results, Neiswonger collected 3,195 votes to Hinton’s 1,569.

WARREN COUNTY COMMISSIONER

While Dan Glotz ran unopposed on the Democratic ticket for Warren County Commissioner, six candidates were vying for two spots on the GOP ticket.

Former Warren County Sheriff Ken Klakamp and current Commissioner Tricia Durbin appear to have secured those seats in a closely-contested race. Klakamp was the top vote-getter with 2,796 votes. Durbin had 2,173 votes, while Troy Clawson had 1,566. Joseph Perrin was next with 877 votes, followed by Will Champlin (672) and Jeff Eschborn (604).
