Sunday Night Fire Destroys Barn

SUGAR GROVE, Pa. – A 2-alarm fire destroyed a barn on Hazeltine Hollow Road overnight Sunday, April 7, 2024.

According to the Pulse Point app, the call came in at 11:20 p.m. on Sunday for a structure fire on Hazeltine Hollow Road. More than 15 departments responded to the call and firefighters were on the scene for more than 9 1/2 hours.

“Our department along with at least 17 other departments and multiple apparatus worked for several hours to extinguish the fire,” the North Warren VFD said in a social media post. “Although the barn is a total loss, other buildings close to the fire were saved from damage.”

Fire officials said no one was injured, but approximately 60 heads of cattle were lost in the blaze.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family who sustained this loss,” the Spring Creek VFD said in a social media post.
