Police Investigating After Corry Woman Killed in Route 6 Crash

CORRY, Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a Corry woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Route 6 on Monday afternoon.

According to PSP-Corry, Ryleigh Plank, 20 of Corry, was driving a 2021 Ram east on Route 6 west of Hatchery Road just after 2:15 p.m. Monday when the Ram crossed the double yellow into the westbound lane. Plank’s Ram struck a 2022 Ram 3500 driven by Nazar Hryntus, 31 of Parma, Ohio, police said.

After impact, police said, Plank’s vehicle spun counterclockwise back into the eastbound lane and came to rest against a guardrail. Hryntus’ vehicle traveled off the north side of the road and rolled before coming to a stop on its passenger side, according to police.

Plank was pronounced dead at the scene by the Erie County Coroner’s Office. Police said Hryntus was not injured and refused treatment. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, according to police.

The crash remains under investigation.

Both vehicles needed to be towed from the scene. Police were assisted on the scene by the Elgin Fire Department, Corry Fire Department, Corry EmergyCare, and Dave’s AuTow Service.
