Looking for More “Backpacks and Bicycles”

April 27, 2022

WARREN, Pa. – Infinity Resources officially cut the ribbon on its new location at 616 Pennsylvania Avenue E during a ceremony Wednesday morning.

The staffing agency was previously located on Liberty Street but felt a move to Warren’s east side would help position it to better serve its clients.

“We want to be near our laborers near our workers, so it’s easy to apply for work,” Martin Farrell, Infinity Resources owner, said.

Though the official ribbon cutting was held Wednesday, the office has been open for business at its new location for some time. The change has already paid dividends.

“Heidi (Erickson) got involved in this market,” Farrell said. “She said we really need to be in a little more of a working area where our potential candidates for employment might find it easier to come and apply. And I think we’ve found our traffic has picked up being in this part of town.”

One of the things Erickson, the Eastern Regional Manager, said they noticed at the Liberty Street location was the foot traffic was primarily people “with high heels and briefcases.” Since Infinity Resources places job seekers with industries like Betts, Whirley, and Targeted Pet Treats, Erickson said they wanted to find an area where the foot traffic had “bicycles and backpacks.”

“We want people that need us,” Erickson said. “And if they don’t know you’re here, they’re not gonna come to you. So we’ve got signage and (Staff Coordinator) Will (Tompkins) is really good about going out there handing out his card, having signs out, and building relationships with the community.”

And the current job market, Farrell said, presents a prime opportunity for candidates.

“In our 62 years of doing business, for all but the last three, we’ve had more employees than we’ve had jobs,” Farrell said. “That has absolutely flipped upside down. So it’s not exaggerating to say most people that enter one of our staffing centers have a selection of two or three job opportunities that they can pick from.”

Candidates looking for job opportunities should bring two forms of identification to the office between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Or they can visit the Infinity Resources website.
