June 20, 2024

WARREN, Pa. – If the right conditions exist, a new attraction could be on its way to Warren in the near future.

The Jefferson DeFrees Family Center is exploring the possibility of establishing a Children’s Museum. JDFC is teaming up with Strategy Solutions to determine whether a Children’s Museum in Warren is a viable option.

“If it is financially and operationally feasible, a Children’s Museum could be established in Warren, PA,” the JDFC said in a release. “The Jefferson DeFrees Family Center is teaming up with Strategy Solutions, Inc. a regional consulting firm, to conduct a feasibility study over the next few months. This will include surveys, interviews with community leaders, and economic impact analysis to learn more about the economic potential and community benefit associated with establishing a Children’s Museum in Warren.”

Strategy Solutions will distribute the surveys around the region in the coming weeks and is looking to gather input from a variety of sources.

“The consulting team is seeking input from a broad cross-section of people across the county as well as from people who visit or who could visit the area from around the region,” JDFC said in the release. “The research gathered will be used to build assumptions about local economic impact as well as potential visitor and tourism spending.”
