RUSSELL, Pa. – The Warren County School District Board of Directors approved the 2023-24 budget with zero tax increase during a special meeting Monday.
The board approved the budget in a 7-0 vote, board members Cody Brown and Joe Colosimo were absent, with no additional discussion beyond what had been discussed during previous board and committee meetings.
The 2023-24 final budget is $96,733,165 an increase of almost $3.5 million over the 2022-23 budget ($93,251,092).
“The Proposed Final Budget is designed to serve an estimated enrollment of 3,859 students, which is a decrease of approximately 52 students or 1.3% from the 2022-2023 school year,” per the budget introduction.
