WARREN, Pa. – HEROES will host a sensory-friendly Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23 at Lacy Park Multi-Sensory Playground.
The day will consist of three separate hunts. The first will start at 11:30 a.m., the second at Noon, and the third at 12:30 p.m. Hunts 1 and 2 are for children with disabilities/delays and are preregistration only. The pre-registration form can be filled out here.
These hunts will have eggs hidden in accessible places and can include magnetic eggs on the basketball court that is wheelchair friendly.
Hunt 3 is sensory-friendly and all-inclusive. Preregistration is not required for Hunt 3.
Each hunt will have a “quiet section” for those who may become overwhelmed with the noise of a celebration. Ear plugs and other sensory-friendly activities will be available for all. Gluten, sugar, and dye-free options will be available as well as other small toys and prizes.
