WARREN, Pa. – The Young Mothers Study Club donated proceeds from its annual live auction to a trio of local organizations on Tuesday.

Checks were presented to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), the Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center and the Warren Area Student Union in front of the fountain in downtown Warren on Tuesday.

“Every year our goal is to raise money for women and children’s organizations,” said Lauren Keddie, YMSC President. “This year we picked CASA, the CAC and WASU.”

The club held their annual fundraising event on Aug. 2 at Bent Run Brewing Company.

“We had a meal, Chinese Auction, raffle and live music,” Keddie said. “We also had Marty’s Bubblegum Machine for the kids. We had a great turnout.”

The club is for any mothers that have school age children and meets once a month, with the goal of raising funds for local charities.

“We’re just so grateful and thankful,” said Melissa McLean, Executive Director of the Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center, was joined by the center’s facility dog, Tiger.

Also on hand were Melissa Sproveri (Director of CASA of Warren and Forest Counties) and Pam Falber, Executive Director of WASU.

“This is such an amazing community,” Sproveri said.
