Eisenhower Girls Tie, Boys Fall at Union City

UNION CITY, Pa. – The Eisenhower and Union City girls ran, threw, and jumped to an even tie during their track and field meet at Union City on Wednesday.

When it was all said and done, the score was knotted at 72-72. Union City’s boy’s team defeated Eisenhower, 75-69.

Peyton Kellogg and Mackenzie Dunn were dual individual winners for the Lady Knights. Kellogg won both the 100 (22.07) and 300 hurdles (1:02.5), while Dunn took first in the discus (84’3″) and shot put (30’4″). Dunn was also part of the winning 4×100 relay team (1:00.3) with Katie Bunk, Madison Cathcart, and Rayna Hultman.

Bunk cleared 5’6″ to take first in the pole vault and Hultman won the javelin with a throw of 102’6″. Gracie Anthony took first in the triple jump (22’7″).

For the boys, Keegan Eckstrom was a dual individual winner as he took first in both the 100 (12.3s) and 200 (25.1s). Eckstrom was also part of the winning 4×100 relay team (47.0) with Drew Mandeville, Ryan Chambers, and Austin Hannold.

Joseph Mistretta took first in the 100 hurdles (20.06), while Chambers won the pole vault (10′), Benji Bauer won shot put (35’11”), and Caleb Penley was first in the javelin (103′).
