Corry Man Issued Multiple Violations In Connection with Fatal Motorcycle Accident

JAMESTOWN, NY – A Corry man is facing multiple traffic violations in connection with an accident that claimed the life of an Erie man in Jamestown on Friday.

New York State Police troopers from Jamestown responded to an accident involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Marvin Road and Belknap Road at 2:40 p.m. Friday, June 4. According to police, a 2012 GMC Sierra driven by Slater R. Lindstrom, 32 of Corry, was traveling south on Marvin Rd and missed the turn for Belknap Rd. The GMC stopped, then proceeded to back up Marvin Rd, police said.

At this time, a 2000 Harley Davidson operated by Andrew E. Howard, 63 of Erie, was headed south on Marvin Rd and collided with the back end of the GMC. According to police, the GMC left the scene of the collision. Howard was pronounced dead at the scene, police said, and NYSP troopers, working with Pennsylvania State Police, were able to locate Lindstrom.

According to police, Lindstrom was issued multiple traffic violations including leaving the scene of a fatal collision, unlicensed operator, and reckless driving.

NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted in the investigation.
