RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Jayden Colvin’s layup with eight seconds left lifted Forest Area to a 36-35 win over Union/A-C Valley at Union.
Colvin’s basket capped a rally from five down heading to the fourth quarter for the Fires, who trailed 31-26 after Union/ACV poured in 15 third-quarter points behind 3-pointers from Ava Strauser and Emma Raschiatore.
But in the fourth quarter, Colvin got hot scoring seven of her 11 points to help Forest Area to the victory. Colvin also chipped in five rebounds and three steals.
Amber Guzzi added 10 points, six rebounds, and three steals for the Fires while Kaylie Rooke just missed a triple-double finishing with nine points, 14 rebounds, 10 blocked shots, and two steals.
Maddie Dehart had a game-high 14 points for Union/A-C Valley, eight in the first half, with Kya Wetzel adding nine points.
