July 22, 2023

Representing Chief Cornplanter Council, a contingent of 10 scouts and 2 adult leaders has set off to experience the National Jamboree.

The BSA National Jamboree is a gathering of thousands of members of Scouts BSA, usually held every four years and organized by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Referred to as “the Jamboree”, “Jambo”, or NSJ, Scouts from all over the nation and world can attend. Since 1937, National Jamborees have been Scouting’s biggest event celebrating the adventure and traditions of Scouting.

This year, the National Jamboree is held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, West Virginia from July 19 – 28, offering 10 days of adventure.

Pictured are attendees from Chief Cornplanter Council Troop 3218: leader Mike Carnahan Sr., scouts Xavier Pantoja, Andrew Hoden, Chris Joblon, CJ Mix, Carsyn Branstrom, Mike Carnahan Jr., Jacob Ziolkowski, Dylan Johnson, Matt DeSimone, Kyler Carlson, and leader Judi Hukill.
