1776 Notary Services Open for Business in Clarendon

December 1, 2023

CLARENDON, Pa. – The 100 North Main St. address in Clarendon is getting another tenant.

The former Allegheny Valley Elementary School Building, which now houses the Clarendon Borough offices and Allegheny Valley Veterans Center, recently welcomed 1776 Notary Services to the fold.

Jennifer Albaugh recently started 1776 Notary Services and will be available Wednesday through Friday from 5-8:30 p.m., or by appointment.

Albaugh, who is also a full-time mail carrier for Clarendon Borough, saw a need and sought to address it.

“The need,” Albaugh said. “My husband and I needed title transfer services and they are all just so far away, so we figured other people needed that service as well.”

1776 Notary will offer a variety of services.

“If you purchase a vehicle and need a new title, new license plate, thing like that,” Albaugh said. “I also do registration renewals, drivers license renewals, pretty much your PennDot type work.”

And she is also open to expanding those services.

“I would like to include the semi work, a lot of semi work we can do with title transfers,” Albaugh said.

Albaugh can be reached at 814-688-0868 and customers must bring a valid photo ID.

Albaugh’s business is just the latest in what has become a hot spot in Clarendon.

“We have West PA, Serenity Spa, PGE has an office here, the borough township offices,” Albaugh said.

The building also houses the Extreme Athletix competitive cheer and hip hop teams.
