WARREN, Pa. – If the first month is any indication, the new partnership between the Zonta Club of Warren and I Support the Girls is going to help many of those in need.
In less than a month, the Zonta Club collected 533 items to distribute to three local non-profit organizations (the Wellness and Forensic Center, Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center, and all three YMCA sites in Warren County).
According to its website, “I Support the Girls (ISTG) collects and distributes essential items, including bras, underwear, and menstrual hygiene products, allowing women and folx experiencing homelessness, impoverishment, or distress to stand tall with dignity.”
In a Facebook post, the Zonta Club said this recent sort and distribution of hygiene products is part of an ongoing collection of needed items.
“If you are interested in learning more – contact any Zonta Club of Warren member or drop off items at the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center lobby,” the post said. “We are still collecting new and gently used bras, too!”
