YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Warren Area High School’s Alex Zariczny and Lauren Walker led the way for the boys and girls Varsity Teams at Valley Bowling Center this week.
Zariczny, on the strength of a career high game and series, finished with a 702 series handicap for the week. That put him nearly 50 pins ahead of Wes Kiehl who had a 653.
The girls team scores were much closer. Walker took top honors with a 669, while Alyssa Andersen was right behind with a 664. Kyleigh Wilson was just two back of Andersen with a 662.
This season, Valley Bowling Center has introduced the concept of weekly “varsity teams” based on series handicap. High school bowlers in the Saturday Strikers, Youngsville Middle/High School and Warren High School Leagues are eligible for the varsity teams.
