Youth Library Programs Set for February

WARREN, Pa. – The Warren Public Library has a number of youth programs scheduled for the month of February.

Toddler Time: Join Ms. Susan at the Warren Public Library on Monday mornings at 10:30 a.m. for stories, songs, crafts and creative play. Story times help strengthen a strong early literacy foundation and provide an excellent opportunity to build socialization skills. Registration not required; join us when you can.

Create a Terrarium for Starting Houseplants: Warren County Master Gardeners will be at the Warren Public Library on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. to show participants how to grow new plants from a variety of sources. Each participant will select plants to keep and grow in their own homemade terrarium, which will be constructed during the event. All supplies provided by the Master Gardeners. Preregistration is mandatory with a maximum of 18 participants in grades K – 8. One may stop by the Children’s Department staff desk to register or phone Children’s Librarian Susan Slater at 814 723-4650 x126.

Mike Morton and His Chickens Pay Tribute to Dr. Seuss: Saturday, Feb. 25, 11:30 a.m. at the Warren Public Library. During this Dr. Seuss-themed program children will meet chickens from Mike Morton’s Sundance Kids Farm, discover if any of them lay green eggs, learn about the embryo development of an egg and listen to a Dr. Seuss story. Registration appreciated but not mandatory. One may stop by the Children’s Department staff desk to register or phone Children’s Librarian Susan Slater at 814 723-4650 x126.
