Youngsville Track Earns Split at Union City

UNION CITY, Pa. – The Youngsville track team earned a split in a dual meet at Union City Tuesday.

The boys picked up a 99-43 win, while the girls suffered an 80-67 setback.

Jake Hogg led a complete sweep of the jumping events as he took first in the long, triple and high jumps. Blake Myers and Ethan Kesterholt took second and third, respectively, in each of the three events as well.

Hogg also took first in the javelin, while Brandon Sutton grabbed the top spot in the shot put.

The Eagles picked up sweeps in the 100 hurdles (Austin Fitzgerald, Logan McDonald and Koby Hendrickson) and 100 (Ethan Senz, Dawson Burt and Dominic Sproveri) as well.

McDonald (300 hurdles), Burt (200) and Koben Smith (3200) were individual winners, as were the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relay teams.

Julia Bojaczko won both distance events (1600, 3200) and was part of the winning 4 x 800 relay team to lead the Lady Eagles’ effort.

Lily Lindell (300 hurdles), Mia Rafalski (high jump) and Chloe Senz (shot put) were individual winners as well.
