Youngsville Falls at Corry

CORRY, Pa. – Corry picked up five wins via pinfall en route to a 52-9 victory over visiting Youngsville Wednesday.

Collin Clough notched the only contested match victory for the Eagles on the night.

The match opened with a double forfeit at 106. Lucas Munsee got the Beavers on the board with a second period pin over Ian Mancuso at 113.

Corry doubled the lead with a forfeit win at 120. Following another double forfeit at 126, Logan McDonald got Youngsville’s first points of the night with a forfeit at 132.

Chris Almeda stretched Corry’s lead to 16-6 with a 12-2 major decision over Aidan Mancuso at 138.

Clough picked up a 7-5 decision over Trey Proper at 145 to cut the deficit to 16-9, but that was as close as the Eagles would get.

The Beavers rattled off four straight pins and closed out the match with a pair of forfeit victories.

All four pins occurred in the second period. Hunter Savitz took down Matt DeSimone at 152, Brady Steele topped Michael Crane at 160, Dylan Gourley decked Caden McCune at 170 and Shawn Proctor defeated Damon Reese at 189.

Hayden Linkerhof (215) and Xavier Reyda (285) picked up the forfeit wins.

Youngsville returns to the mat Wednesday, Jan. 20 when the Eagles host Saegertown.
