UNION CITY, Pa. – Ethan Kesterholt scored 21 points as Youngsville raced out to a 35-13 halftime lead en route to a 59-39 Region 2 boys basketball victory over Union City on Wednesday.

The win was the second of the season for the Eagles, who improve to 2-4 overall and 2-3 in Region 2.
Timber Bower scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half for Youngsville, while Joe Mack scored all 11 of his points in the first half.
Wyatt Post scored 14 points to pace Union City.
Also for Youngsville, Brady Olewine had six points, Dominic Dell five and Koby Hendrickson three.
Youngsville returns to action Friday, hosting Cochranton.
