WARREN, Pa. – The Warren Pickleball Outreach Committee and the Jefferson Defrees Family Center teamed up together to help local families enjoy a brighter Thanksgiving holiday.

The Warren Pickleball Outreach Committee was developed just a few short weeks ago. Ambassadors Kim Mong and Doug James have long envisioned adding a community support group together once this fast-growing sport took hold and as members increased.
“It didn’t take long for the Pickleball community to embrace the outreach committee’s mission, which is simply to give back,” the WPOC said. “Having Melinda Johnson and JDFC join us in our first fundraiser proved critical for its success. Not only providing her expertise and direction but the much-needed space to accomplish our mission. In addition, the center also provides players the opportunity for indoor play in their gym. JDFC is a valuable asset to our community and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have teamed up with them.”
