Wolverines Use Big Fourth Quarter Pull Away From County Rival Eagles

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Outscoring visiting Youngsville 24-7 in the fourth quarter, Sheffield pulled away for a 58-31 win in the opening round of the Sheffield Sports Boosters Christmas Tournament.

The Wolverines (3-6) led 34-24 going to the fourth quarter before Leihden Wotorson scored 12 of his game-high 21 points in the quarter to help them pull away.

Dylan Hardwick added six of his 11 points in the final eight minutes, while Colby Barr chipped in nine tallies.

Carson Chase led Youngsville (4-4) with 11 points with Nathan Lucks adding eight.

Sheffield will face Kane in Thursday’s title game, while Youngsville will battle Smethport in the consolation game the same night.
