There were plenty of bright spots, for the Wolverines (2-4), however.

Freshman Chase Kyler was once again brilliant in earning a 15-5 major decision over Curwensville’s Damian Brady to begin the match at 106.

Also, Trenton Mead jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first period and was able to hold off the Golden Tide’s Mitchell Sutika at 145, 9-7.

At 172, Landon Mead was impressive in earning a first-period pin over Chae Irwin.

And finally, at 215, Ethan Finch remained perfect in impressive fashion, needed just 21 seconds to put Brennen Moore on his back for a win by fall.

Curwensville (1-1) won five matches via fall.
