Wilson Walks it Off for Warren Baseball as Berdine Leads Combined No-Hit Effort

WARREN, Pa. – In an unusual game, Warren rallied for a 5-4 win over Fort LeBoeuf on Ethan Wilson’s walk-off RBI single in a game in which they didn’t allow a hit.

Ben Berdine started and was dominant for the Dragons, striking out 12 in his 5 ⅔ innings of work before giving way to Ben Sowa. who allowed two runs on three walks in his inning. Archie Teconchuk got the final out of the top of the seventh and got the win.

The Bison trailed 3-2 going into the top of the seventh and took the lead on Luke Kingen’s RBI groundout and a bases-loaded walk to Alex Jarrett that put the Bison up 4-3.

Berdine and JT Blum hit back-to-back singles to start the bottom half of the inning, and Owen Blum’s single brought in Berdine to tie the game at 4-4.

After Alex Borger’s sacrifice bunt, Wilson laced a 2-2 pitch into right field to end it.

The Dragons trailed 2-0, with LeBoeuf taking advantage of four Dragon errors in the first three innings.

In the fifth, Warren scored via a bases-loaded walk to Micah Passmore, followed by an RBI groundout from Berdine and a passed ball that scored Passmore.

Dan Caldwell got the start for LeBoeuf and went 5 ⅔ innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and four walks, striking out seven. Nick Dooley took the loss, allowing two runs in his ⅔ of an inning.

JT Blum had two hits for the Dragons.
