Andy CloseWilliam St. Clair (Papa Bill) McClement, 87, of Warren passed away Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, in the Warren General Hospital.
Mr. McClement was born Jan. 17, 1934, in Seward, Pa., a son of Thomas and Sara Fuller McClement. On Dec. 22, 1953, in Warren he married the former Patricia Arden Downey who survives. He graduated from Warren High School in 1951 and served in the United States Air Force from 1953 until 1957 during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. McClement worked for Penelec for 34 years retiring as Divisions Operation Manager in 1989. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR especially Jeff Gordon. He loved to hunt and fish and watching old western shows and movies on tv
Surviving besides his wife are a daughter Deb (Ed) Abramczyk of Centreville, VA, 3 sons, Barry (Becky) McClement of Russell, Jeffrey (Jeana Morrison) McClement and Ronald (Kim) McClement both of Warren, 10 grandchildren; Brian, Kristin, Kyle, Kellie, Lindsey, Kailee, Matthew, Nicole, Alison and Jordan, along with 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. McClement was preceded in death by five brothers, Richard McClement, Thomas McClement, Buster McClement, Samuel McClement, and Leonard McClement and three sisters, Beatrice Hicks, Eleanor Bowman and Betty Sellers.
Burial will be today at Warren County Memorial Park. A celebration of Mr. McClement’s life will be held at a date and time to be announced. Memorials if desired may be made to the charity of the donors choice
