SAN DIEGO – Eight student members and two advisors of the West and East Forest FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) recently attended the National Leadership Conference in San Diego.
The conference, held from June 29 through July 3, allows FCCLA members, advisers, and supporters from across the nation to learn, compete, and network.
A pair of West Forest FCCLA student members finished in the Top 10 of their respective groups including Gabbriella Araujo and Macalie Hoffmann.
They were joined at the conference by fellow West Forest students Hazel Hilyer, Jayden McKeel, Ester Forker, and Jeffrey Bayle, while Olivia Thompson and Taylor Oliver represented East Forest.
The West Forest FCCLA is advised by Jennifer Wellington, while the East Forest FCCLA is advised by Shenessa Rossetti (Rossetti is the wife of yourdailylocal co-owner Chris Rossetti).
