Warren’s Ruhlman, Childress Earn Region 6 Basketball Honors

Warren’s Emma Ruhlman, along with Villa Maria’s Ava Waid, were named Region 6 girls’ basketball Co-Players of the Year on Wednesday, as voted on by region coaches.

Warren’s Riley Childress was voted second-team all-region for the Lady Dragons, who captured the third District 10 title in program history and the second in the careers of Ruhlman and Childress, both juniors.

Ruhlman averaged 14.7 points per game, to go along with 10 rebounds per game, 4.1 assists per game, and 2.5 steals per game.

Childress averaged 14.0 ppg., 5.2 apg., 4 rpg. and 3 spg. Both are considered two of the best defenders in District 10 as well.
