Warren Volleyball Sweeps Oil City

OIL CITY, Pa. – Warren’s strong service game helped propel the Dragons to a sweep at Oil City Thursday.

Katie Madigan led the way with seven of the Dragons’ 18 aces in the 25-11, 25-11 and 25-19 win. Madigan added 11 digs and four assists.

Jordan Sitler led the attack with 13 kills and three aces. Hannah Shattuck had nine kills and Halee Mineweaser dished out 21 assists.

Olivia English had five kills, five digs and four aces, while Meredith Morrison served up four aces.

Warren won the junior varsity match, 24-26, 25-22 and 15-10.

Kylie Fehlman had 14 kills, Summer Lucks had 25 digs and Lauren Dolan had 17 assists in the win.

COCHRANTON 3, YOUNGSVILLE 0

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Cochranton earned a sweep (25-14, 25-7 and 25-17) at Youngsville Thursday.

Jena Wilson had 12 assists and seven digs for the Eagles.

“In the third game, the Lady Eagles were doing a great job covering the court,” Youngsville coach Misty Weber said. “But communication, ultimately, was the downfall.”

Cochranton won the junior varsity match, 25-12 and 25-7.
