Warren Volleyball Falls at Conneaut

LINESVILLE, Pa. – Warren hung with Conneaut but was ultimately unable to hand the Eagles their first loss of the season. Instead, Conneaut topped visiting Warren, 3-1 (25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 25-17) on Thursday.

The Dragons got a big game at the net from Kylie Fehlman, 14 kills and four blocks, but the Eagles countered with a double-double from Kaylee Mattera, 18 kills and 11 digs to go along with four blocks and three aces.

Alexia Bowers had nine kills and three aces for the Dragons, while Maddy Jones had six kills and eight digs. Carly Beers had 10 digs, four kills, and four aces, Kirsten Johnson had three kills and three blocks, Summer Lucks had 23 digs and two aces, and Lindsay Madigan had 29 assists, two blocks, and two kills.

For the Eagles, Sylvia Prebor and Lainie Harrington each had seven kills, with Prebor adding four blocks. Mackenzie Wensel had four kills, four blocks, and five aces, Paris Karastury had 18 digs, Ashley Crabb had 10 digs and three aces, and Payten Karastury had 29 assists.

Conneaut won the junior varsity match, 25-15, 25-15.

Lilly Newton had 4 kills and a block, Delaney Wright had 4 assists, Sophie Walker had 5 digs, Lauren Fajbik had 4 kills and 3 digs, and Maddie Nosel had 2 kills and 2 digs.

Warren is back home on Tuesday when the Dragons host Erie.
